Reasonable lubrication methods in lubrication technology

The core issue of lubrication technology is to solve the lubrication problem of friction pairs, which is commonly referred to as lubrication points. For those engaged in the application of lubrication technology, their concern should be lubrication points. That is to say, no matter what lubrication method you use, dry oil lubrication, thin oil lubrication, oil mist lubrication, or oil air lubrication, the purpose is to keep the lubrication points in a good lubrication state at all times.

So, what kind of lubrication is needed for lubrication points? Is it better to add more oil? The answer is no.

The lubrication point, which is the ideal condition for friction pairs to operate under full film lubrication. In this full film lubrication state, there is lubricant between the friction surfaces and a complete lubricating film can be generated to separate the two friction surfaces. When the friction pair moves, friction is the internal friction between the internal molecules of the lubricating film, rather than the direct external friction between the friction surfaces.

The lubricant required for the lubrication point should reach the bearing in a slow and uniform small amount of oil flow. If the lubricant required for the lubrication point can be supplied in a continuous fine flow, then the lubrication effect is ideal for the lubrication point.

For example, if a bearing requires 1ml of lubricating oil per hour, should 1ml be added per hour or should the 1ml of oil be added several times within an hour? The correct answer should be the latter. If we can make the lubrication point only receive 0.1ml of oil per lubrication cycle, then 1ml of oil can be supplied 10 times within 1 hour, every 6 minutes, which can achieve very satisfactory results. This is the correct lubrication method.

Thin oil lubrication is indeed a lubrication method. With the development of lubrication technology, thin oil lubrication has evolved from a primary high flow lubrication method to a more advanced micro lubrication method. For example, oil mist lubrication is a type of micro lubrication, and its emergence has brought thin oil lubrication to a new stage of development. Although oil mist lubrication has taken a big step towards this correct lubrication method, its application prospects are becoming increasingly bleak due to various limitations and serious environmental pollution and harm to human health. Instead, it is replaced by a more accurate, trace and environmentally friendly lubrication method - oil gas lubrication.

Oil gas lubrication has changed traditional lubrication methods with a novel lubrication concept. It can continuously inject fine and extremely small amounts of oil droplets into the lubrication points, achieving precise distribution of lubricating oil at an equal time and adapting to different harsh working conditions, which other lubrication methods cannot achieve.
